...The Fabulous Hudson!

I recently painted a very handsome looking Fox Red Labrador named Hudson. Hudson is owned by a very talented Fieldsports Photographer, Matthew Nutt, who travels nationwide and specialises in all areas of photography related to Fieldsports and the relevant industries surrounding it such as Commercial Photography and Privately commissioned shoots by both organised gun clubs and individual owners.
I was supplied the photograph by Matthew. The resulting painting was around 14x11". With this painting I decided that the environment should be included as it offered something to the overall look in terms of context. The Beech wood in the early morning mist and frost. I hope I've conveyed that well enough in the final piece. Hudson was a dream to paint, such rich colours and muscle definition along with his eager gaze made for one of my absolute favourites to date!
